New photos have emerged of the moment Melbourne hiker Hadi Nazari was found after a 13-day search for the 23-year-old in the Kosciuszko National Park. A group of hikers found the Berwick man at 3.15pm on Wednesday, and have shared pictures of themselves with a smiling Nazari online. The university student was last seen setting off on a bushwalk in the national park in the state’s south on December 26.
“Once he’s better, we will have to listen to all the stories, what happened with him over the last 13 days, especially at nighttime. “It’s pretty scary up there, when it was his first or second night up there, it was getting a bit dark, we were scared too.” Ali also described the moment he was reunited with his cousin. “Oh, he just hugged me, started kissing me on my cheek, and he was like thanking God that he’s safe,” he said.
