UPDATE: Officials say a woman who was reported missing after going on a hike in a north Phoenix recreation area has been found dead.

Officials say 34-year-old Jessica Lindstrom went on a hike Friday morning around 8:30 a.m. at the Deem Hills Recreation area near 51st Drive and West Deem Hills Parkway.

At this time, police have not identified anything suspicious regarding her death. Phoenix fire officials tell ABC15 Lindstrom was overcome by the heat. The Arizona Department of Public Safety had also issued a"missing endangered person advisory" for Lindstrom. Police say it is common practice in the summer months, especially when there is a heat advisory, to consider a missing person endangered if they are believed to be outside.
