BREAKING: Four more people have been diagnosed with monkeypox in the UK, bringing the total number to seven.
The UK Health Security Agency said investigations were underway to establish links between the cases.
All four of the new cases self-identify as gay, bisexual or other men who have sex with men, the HSA said. The four new cases are not connected to the previous three cases detected last week, but two of the new patients are known to each other.Although monkeypox is much milder than smallpox, with most infected people recovering within a few weeks, it can in rare cases be fatal.
