Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman. They arrived to find 25-year-old Akhil Sai Mahankali suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators charged Raviteja Goli, 23, with manslaughter.
