Former Monty Python star Terry Jones has died according to a statement from his agent.
Mr Jones was a key member of the iconic British comedy troupe alongside Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Michael Palin.
Their hit television show first aired on the BBC in 1969 before they went on to make feature films. Mr Jones also directed three of those movies and went on to write books and screenplays on his own.
