A friend raising money for an Australian woman at the centre of a "fake" Bali mugging ordeal is hoping for more donations despite admitting the "original story had some untruths".

"The purpose of this post is to have the funds released - and possibly increase them, whilst being open and transparent, in highlighting the changes to the original story," Ms Thompson wrote.Ms Bell suffered head injuries after falling from a scooter. Ms Bell, 25, is said to be showing signs of recovery after being airlifted to a Perth hospital with bleeding on the brain.
