Police have carried out further raids today as part of an operation targeting South East Antrim UDA money lending.
Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force and the PSNI's Illegal Money Lending Team, have carried out searches in Ballyclare, Ballycarry and Larne on Wednesday, September 28, as part of an investigation into suspected criminality link to the paramilitary group.
Two men aged 40 and 45 were also arrested under the Terrorism Act and have since been released following questioning. “Today, officers carried out three further searches in County Antrim and have seized a number of items, including documentation, mobile phones, laptops, cigarettes and paramilitary associated paraphernalia.
