More rain on the way after Sydney exceeds 2m of annual rain | sallyrawsthorne
Sydney has exceeded an annual rainfall of two metres for the first time since 1963 as more of the wet stuff is predicted to fall on Saturday and into next week.
Saturday morning’s wet weather will possibly hang on the city’s coastal fringe throughout the day, Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Jordan Notara said. Earlier this month, the weather bureau warned of a likely wet summer with La Nina conditions predicted to return for a third time this year., much higher than the previous 50 per cent likelihood that has lingered for months.
