Monday’s high of 87 at JAX Airport set an all-time January record. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says mornings will have patchy dense fog.
Afternoon high temperatures today will challenge the record 84 degrees set in 1982 . Wednesday’s record of 83 will once again be threatened.And Thursday will make it into the low 80s. The record is 84 set in 1990.
A late week change is coming and will much cooler air. A local nor’easter with winds off the cool Atlantic Ocean will bring blustery conditions and temperatures barely into the 60s. Buresh says it’ll be especially windy along the coast with temperatures stuck in the 50s. Isolated showers will be possible at times.
