The First Glasgow employees will stage the one-week walkout later this month.
More than 1,200 bus drivers in Glasgow have overwhelmingly voted to strike for a week amid a pay dispute.
It comes after 99 per cent of members rejected a pay offer from the bus operator. The union said it was declined on the basis that it falls significantly below the pay levels of other drivers across First Group’s UK operations. Meanwhile, there is a similar dispute elsewhere in the firm that involves 150 engineers who have also planned to walk out on November 16 and 17.
“Unless First Bus moves quickly to improve their pay offer then our members will bring bus operations to a stop for a week beginning on 24 November. The ball is now firmly in First Bus’ court whether they want to escalate this dispute or resolve it in a speedy fashion.”
