Only 18 staff members remain at recently collapsed retailer Booktopia as 165 of their colleagues were sacked from the beleaguered company.

More than 160 staff have been let go from recently collapsed literary retailer Booktopia as customers have been barred from placing online orders only one week after it entered voluntary administration .

The first meeting of creditors, which must be held within eight business days after the administration begins, will take place on July 15.Comparatively, Booktopia shares were listed at $2.30 in December 2020 and were near the $3 mark the next year.
