One generous donor gifted $45,000 to the cause while dozens of businesses have given large donations to support the families affected by jumping castle incident. Find out how you can support the families in the story.

More than 14,000 donations have been made across Australia and the world by people wanting to do their bit to help families with bills, funeral costs ahead of Christmas.

"It is absolutely crazy and I can't even put into words how much this will mean for the families," she told Skynews.com.au on Saturday."What started out as $1,000 to help with Christmas has turned into something way more insane." Ms Smith passed on her sympathies to the families and stressed the Devonport community was there for them if they needed further support."The money will be there for them but we also recognise that no amount of money can truly replace what they have lost."
