The Bureau of Meteorology issued another severe storm warning at 5:30am as a cell moved onshore towards Coolangatta. A separate warning was issued for a cell at Mount Tambourine and Little Nerang Dam, with the possibility of heavy rain which could lead to flash flooding.Upper Springbrook recorded the heaviest falls, with its 222mm coming in the three hours to 12:30am.
Landslides have been reported along Pine Creek Road in Springbrook and the road has been closed, the Department of Transport and Main Roads said.More to come.
