Police cracked down on illegal weapons across NSW in a major operation.
Operation Foil ran from 1pm on April 11 to 1.30am on April 13, involving more than 800 officers across the state.More than 50 weapons were seized in a police operation across NSW.
Detective Superintendent Darren Newman said the aim of Operation Foil was to remove weapons from the streets and make the community safer. "If you are armed with a knife and become involved in an altercation where someone is injured or even killed, you can face a substantial prison sentence."
