More than 60,000 people on waiting list for routine treatment in Shropshire

The figure is 5,000 more than 12 months ago.

The figures, from NHS England, come as the NHS across Shropshire was today preparing for a fresh round of junior doctors strikes – affecting Shrewsbury & Telford

Hospital NHS Trust , the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital , Shropshire Community Health Trust , the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and GPs.
