The airport says it is experiencing a 'significant issue with its fuel supply system', resulting in a 'major impact on flight operations'.
Chaos has erupted at Perth Airport as more than a dozen flights have been cancelled due to a significant fuel supply issue plaguing the site. Travellers heading to or departing the main West Australian airport have been left in limbo as a lack of fuel in the supply system means planes cannot be refuelled.
" As of Saturday morning, nine international and five domestic flights were cancelled with warnings that more flights would not take off. Some cancelled flights include departures to Sydney, Darwin, Brisbane and Bali, and arrivals from the same locations. Any planes that have not already left the airport will likely be cancelled until the issue is resolved.
