Former prime minister Scott Morrison and former US President Donald Trump have gathered for a meeting in New York City at the American’s home.
Scott Morrison and Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump have met behind closed doors in New York City during the former Australian prime minister’s book tour.
During the meeting on Tuesday night, the pair reportedly discussed AUKUS, which was founded under Mr Morrison with current president Joe Biden.Mr Trump has appeared to quash rumours his return to the presidency could put the alliance in jeopardy and expressed “warm” support for the three-way partnership.
Mr Morrison showed characteristic loyalty and brushed off Trump’s legal woes as a “pile on”. He is the first-ever former US president to face a criminal trial.Was pleased to meet with former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night at his private residence in NY. It was nice to catch up again, especially given the pile on he is currently dealing with in the US.
