Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says former prime minister Scott Morrison had a “huge weight” on his shoulders during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Tehan said he was disappointed Mr Morrison didn’t tell his ministers he swore himself into five portfolios.
“I think in hindsight what we wanted to make sure that we were reaching out to him saying that we were there, we wanted to take that responsibility and share it with you and make sure we were doing that,” he told Sky News Australia. “And I think what happened was he took that responsibility and then meant he sort of thought, ‘well I need to be doing more and more’, and then he didn’t share that with us.”
