The new series kicks off this month so we take a look at the most successful contestants to come from the show over the years.
The show initially aired onback in 2000 and was hosted by Davina McCall. When it first launched, it featured a 24-hour live feed that allowed fans to tune into the house at any given time.
It was broadcast on Channel 4 for 10 years before moving to Channel 5 from 2011 to 2018, where it was presented by Brian Dowling for two years before Emma Willis took over.There have been many characters walk through those famous doors, some of which have went on to have glittering careers and some are sadly no longer with us. In 2018, Alison made her Hollywood debut with animated film Hotel Transylvania 3. In 2020 she appeared on Celebs Go Dating and the celeb edition of The Great British Bake Off. The 48-year-old appeared on Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes, Celebrity Ready Steady Cook, Celebrity Coach Trip, Celebrity MasterChef and on the Channel 4 showLast year, Alison made history as she was the first black TV presenter to be shortlisted for an NTA award.
