Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by NWAS to assist with the 'extraction of a casualty from a property'
Mountain rescue volunteers were called in Rossendale to help paramedics free an injured person from a house.
RPMRT said it was 'far from our usual' terrain' and the team were needed for their specialist equipment and expertise after 'other avenues had been explored'. They successfully were able to move the person to a waiting ambulance before they were transferred to hospital for 'further care'.
