'Mummy loves you': The mother of Zane Mellor, who was killed in a jumping castle accident last week, has spoken of her grief on the day of his funeral.
Mourners have gathered in Devonport, Tasmania, for the funeral of the first of six children killed in a freak accident.
Zane Mellor, 12, was enjoying a day of fun on the last day of term at Hillcrest Primary School when a gust of wind lifted a jumping castle and “zorb balls” 10 metres into the air.It then plunged to the ground, scattering year 5 and 6 students. A police and WorkSafe investigation is underway. Zane’s mother, Georgie Gardam took to social media this morning, saying “today will be one of the hardest days of my life”.“Mummy loves you Zane, I know you are with me already, I don’t know where I have pulled this strength from, but I say it must be from you.
