A delegation of six federal politicians from Labor and the Coalition will travel to Taiwan, but Anthony Albanese says politicians travelling to the island is not unusual.

The trip has been organised by Liberal MP Scott Buchholz, and will also include former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce, and Labor MPs Meryl Swanson and Libby Coker. "There remains a bipartisan position when it comes to China and when it comes to support for the status quo on Taiwan."
