After weeks of rumours, it has finally been confirmed that AFL legend Anthony Koutoufides will run for lord mayor of Melbourne . The beloved Carlton great has released a statement confirming the news, using a Donald Trump-esque slogan. “ make the city vibrant again,” the 51-year-old said in a statement. He said Melbourne was in “utter crisis” and the “time to act is now”. “Your voices need to be heard and the final quarter has just started,” he said. “Vote for a better Melbourne .
