With 13 of the 20 wins coming at home, the Coyotes are building a home ice advantage this season.
The ice has often been praised for its quality and it has produced fast-paced results for the Coyotes. Of the 20 wins, 13 have come from home heading into Sunday's home game against Nashville. Ten of those 13 wins came against teams in a steady race for the playoffs, including both teams in the Stanley Cup Final.
“We obviously spent a long time on the road to start the year so I think when we’re home, we’re super excited and the ice is super good here. That always makes it a little easier on the legs. It’s just fun playing at home,” Keller said. Injuries and the trade deadline will certainly tinker with the current setup, especially with defenseman Jakob Chychrun missing the last six games for trade related reasons. But throughout the season, the team has displayed tight chemistry with lines that haven’t shifted in the last two months.
