Police have released a statement after footage of one arrest was shared widely
Lancashire Constabulary has released a statement after a video of a teenage boy being arrested in Blackpool last night went viral on social media.
The video shows a male youth wearing a blue top and black pants being detained by two police officers outside a building. At one point during the arrest, he can be heard to groan in pain before falling on his knees to the ground.Another officer then joins in apprehending the youth while a fourth officer stands with his arms spread out to keep angry and shouting bystanders away. The woman who filmed the video can be heard shouting: "You's are going on Facebook. Blackpool Police for you.
Lancashire Constabulary said following their arrival at the scene, further anti-social behaviour was reported 'causing significant disruption to the local community'. It resulted in a five-hour dispersal order being authorised from 10pm on Thursday . In a statement, a force spokesperson said: "Around 9.15pm yesterday officers were called to reports of a group of youths wearing balaclavas and in possession of crowbars and screwdrivers. It was reported they were trying to break into a premises on Gorton Street, Blackpool.
