Multiple Sydney venue alerts as CBD cluster linked to northern suburbs, Central Coast Kaubo

Nine new COVID-19 cases were detected in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday and another two were reported on Thursday afternoon, taking the state's total to 4006 confirmed cases.

Of the 11 cases reported on Thursday, three attended the City Tattersalls Club's gym and two attended a building at 300 George Street, located two blocks from Wynyard station at a busy intersection near retail stores and a food court. NSW Health was also contacting people who were at Fitness First Bond Street in the CBD between noon and 4.30pm on August 20 and 21 to determine their level of contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.

Another case travelled on a Sydney-bound train on August 24 that left Woy Woy station at 6.31am and arrived at Wynyard at 7.50am. The same day the person travelled on a north-bound train that left Town Hall station at 5.31pm and arrived at Woy Woy at 6.54pm. They are considered close contacts of cases and must immediately get tested, self-isolate for 14 days, even if the test is negative, and get retested if symptoms occur.

Other members of the family have been tested and returned negative results, including the children enrolled at the school. The family are self-isolating for 14 days.
