The tornadoes damaged trees and buildings in multiple counties in Ohio.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Tornadoes touched down Saturday in multiple areas of Ohio, according to the National Weather Service, damaging buildings and trees but resulting in no reports of serious injuries.

Damage from the tornado was limited to snapped and uprooted trees, and some snapped power lines, the Weather Service says. It’s only the seventh documented tornado in Athens County and the first since 2018. The tornado touched down at about 12:46 p.m. and was on the ground for six minutes, covering 2.2 miles. It had a maximum width of 200 yards.

Tornadoes also were confirmed in Marion County and Holmes County, according to the National Weather Service.
