UPDATE: Multiple victims shot in San Francisco's Mission District, police advise to avoid area SFPD SanFrancisco Mission
are asking residents to avoid the area of 24th Street and Treat Avenue where streets are blocked off as police investigate.
SFPD said officers responded to the shooting at 9:07 p.m. They located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics responded and victims were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions are not yet known. KTVU has learned some of the victims have been taken to San Francisco General Hospital. It is not clear exactly how many victims there are. We are hearing as many as six or seven, but police have not yet confirmed that information. San Francisco police are asking residents to avoid the area of 24th and Treat Avenue in the Mission District because of police activity.With emergency crews on hand, officials advise avoiding the area and to expect traffic delays and to consider other routes.
