'I have to keep this house warm and everyone fed and looked after. I just can’t see how I’m going to do it.' Following the sudden death of her husband Luke, widowed mother Claire now fears for herself and her daughter amid the cost of living crisis.
A widowed mum does not know how she is going to keep her child warm and fed after losing her husband’s income.
The small family relied on Luke’s job as a carer bringing in £700 a month to cover their mortgage and bills.She said: ‘With the cost of living crisis I just don’t know how I’m going to manage. I’m so scared. ‘Somehow, I now have to keep this house warm and everyone fed and looked after, and with no warning. I just can’t see how I’m going to do it.Luke’s family relied on his monthly £700 income to survive Luke’s death was a complete surprise, with his cause of death not yet known.
Claire, from Cannock, Staffordshire, was on a weekend away when Luke started feeling particularly ill at around 5.30am the Sunday before last.
