A routine eye test led to the devastating diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme
The mum of an inspirational Lancashire woman, who was given just 12 months to live after discovering a rare form of cancer, has made an incredible vow in her daughter's name.
As a Young Ambassador for the Brain Tumour Charity, Laura campaigned tirelessly for more research funding to be dedicated to the disease that would kill her, reports The Mirror. Mum Nicola, 53, said: “The thing Laura wanted most of all was for this disease to stop taking away people’s lives. The MP is urging others to commend Laura's positivity and hope as well as acknowledge the need to raise awareness for brain tumours. It also gives ministers a chance to acknowledge the need to “accelerate the development of new treatment options and increase the amount of research funding dedicated to this disease”.
