The grieving mum of a Sunshine Coast teenager killed in a crash has blamed an “a******* on a motorbike” for his death, saying she’s “not sorry” that the rider also lost his life in the double tragedy. Broc Dawson, 17, was driving along Aura Blvd at Bells Creek when he was struck by a motorbike at an intersection about 1.15am on Saturday. He was killed in the crash, along with the 32-year-old man riding the motorbike.

Dawson said her son had been driving his “best mate” home and “doing the right thing” when he drove through a green light at the intersection. “An a******* on a motorbike doing ridiculous speeds ran that red light and ploughed into my child, taking him away from me forever.” Dawson said she was “not sorry” for the grieving family of the motorbike rider, because he had not done the right thing.
