A mum rushed to help a man who was stabbed at Blundellsands and Crosby railway station yesterday. British Transport Police attended the station at 2.45pm on Friday. Merseyside Police and Brithish Transport Police attended and the victim was treated by paramedics at the scene for a minor hand injury. Merseyrail tweeted to say it had diverted trains from the station due to a police incident. Megan Rimmer was in the area at the time with her daughters and told the ECHO what she witnessed.
” Tensions remain high following attacks to Muslim communities in Southport , and elsewhere in the country by the far-right, after false allegations were made that the suspect in the Southport mass stabbing earlier this week was a Muslim. Protests are being held in Liverpool city centre and across the UK today. A number of peaceful demonstrations have been planned including one called 'Save Our Kids' due to get underway near the Liver Building.
