Prominent Indigenous businessman and anti-Voice campaigner Warren Mundine has lost the pre-selection race for the seat of Bradfield to tech executive Gisele Kapterian. Kapterian, a more moderate candidate, will now face off against Teal challenger Nicolette Boele in the upcoming election.
Warren Mundine has lost his pre-selection bid for Bradfield against a more moderate opponent as the Liberals gear up to battle a Teal candidate in the electorate.
Mr Fletcher, who serves as manager of opposition business in the house, joined the lower house in 2009 after replacing former party leader Brendan Nelson in a by-election. Picture: Thomas Lisson/The Daily Telegraph After winning the pre-selection battle, Ms Kapterian - who holds a senior position at global tech company Salesforce - took aim at the cost-of-living crisis which the Liberal Party will be hammering into voters' mind in the lead up to the election.
Ms Kapterian had the backing of former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian, ex-treasurer Joe Hockey and Deputy Prime Minister Sussan Ley amongst other centred Liberals, according to The Daily Telegraph.
