A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder and domestic violence offences after a woman was found dead in Darwin on Friday.
A 50-year-old man is now in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court todayThe body of a 48-year-old Aboriginal woman was found inside an apartment at a Progress Drive unit block in Coconut Grove shortly before 8:00pm on Friday.Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Morrissey said NT Police had been door-knocking in the area over the weekend and thanked the public and NTES volunteers for their assistance in the search.
NT Police said the man had been remanded in custody and was scheduled to appear before the Darwin Local Court on Monday.
