A groundswell of anger from Australia's Muslim community is building against the Labor Government and threatens to impact the upcoming election with a new Islamic political movement claiming the party is 'complicit' in the deaths of tens of thousands of Gazan civilians.

When suggested that he was accusing the government of having blood on its hands, Mr Krayem responded: “Absolutely. If you have the ability to do something, and you fail not to do it, then you are complicit". “We’ve contributed in a whole range of ways, and we’ve all invested our time and interest in a system which we thought would stand up on the based on principles. We’ve seen a government fail to do the minimum things that it actually can do to stop what’s going on.

Labor currently holds 78 of the 151 seats in the House of Representatives, putting it marginally above the 76 seats it needs to govern in its own right. Insiders fear a voter backlash from its traditional base could see it slip into minority, giving power to the crossbench parties or independents keen to affect policy.

In recognising the challenge, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has made clear in his assessment, faith-based political parties would undermine social cohesion in Australia.Sky News asked Mr Krayem if MVM was injecting religion into politics. His answer was steadfast. “Religion has always been part of politics,” he said.
