DISTRESSING CONTENT WARNING: The Boerboel-type dog, believed to be named Huncho, was discovered in a shallow puddle of water at Glennifer Braes Country Park.
The Scottish SPCA has launched an investigation after the body of a mutilated dog was found in a park in Paisley.
Distressing images of the dog, which the Record has censored due to their upsetting nature, show the pup lying in a small pool at the park.It is unclear how long the dog had been lying in the park prior to being discovered last week. A Scottish SPCA spokesperson said: "This has been reported to us and is now an ongoing investigation so we are unable to comment any further."
