After more than a decade as one of Australia's highest-profile celebrity chefs, Dan Mulheron has found his 'perfect role' cooking up tasty but healthy lunches for school students.
After more than a decade of fame and travelling the world, "Dan the canteen man" is exactly where he wants to be.
After winning the 2013 edition of My Kitchen Rules, Dan and Steph Mulheron opened a restaurant in their hometown of Hervey Bay.After pouring their $200,000 winnings into setting up their own restaurant in their hometown of Hervey Bay, they published cookbooks before returning to the small screen for the MKR: The Rivals series and hosted their own travel show.
Dan said the students were a less pretentious audience than customers he had encountered over the last 10 years. "It makes me feel important because feel like all of us have put in the effort to make that, and all the students get to enjoy it," said 11-year-old Louis Foley.
