Exum, who only recently returned to the court after undergoing wrist surgery that sidelined him for most of the regular season, has been highly productive and making the most of his increased playing time after the Luka Doncic trade. “… Since he’s been back, I think we’ve been playing faster. Obviously his unselfishness but also the ball touching the paint and for him to be able to finish and take those layups it then makes the game easier for everybody else. We missed that… and we need to keep him on the floor.”Meanwhile, the short-handed Minnesota Timberwolves halted Oklahoma City’s seven-game NBA winning streak, beating the Western Conference-leading Thunder 116-101.
Oklahoma City’s MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24 points, ending his streak of 25-point games at 22.
