Browns safety John Johnson III, who was mystified and miffed by the meltdown, didn’t blame the fans for expressing their frustration. The Browns led 30-17 with 1:55 remaining, and gave up two big touchdown passes by old foe Joe Flacco in the final 1:22 — a 66-yarder to Corey Davis, and a 15-yarder to former Buckeye Garrett Wilson, the No. 10 overall pick.
Johnson was at a loss to explain how the secondary blew coverages for the second straight week. Last week, they gave up 17 straight points to the Panthers in the fourth quarter, including a 75-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield to Robbie Anderson.
