South Yorkshire Police said the cars are both registered for different plates but one is being used for spare parts.
After speaking to the owner of both vehicles, a the force added: "Advice has been given and the mistake is being rectified."using the Dartford Tunnel due to a mix-up with his own personalised number plates.
