Something about the masked shooter looked familiar to a woman who happened to see the video — and almost nine years later the killer is headed to prison.
The surveillance video of a murder left investigators baffled: A man walked into a South Lake Tahoe convenience store and said just a few words to the cashier before shooting him dead and immediately walking out.
But something about the masked shooter looked familiar to a woman who happened to see the video — and almost nine years later the killer is headed to prison. The break in the case came in 2019, when a woman contacted investigators to say she had watched the video over and over and was convinced the shooter had the distinctive gait of her ex-boyfriend, Donohoe, who lived in South Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2013.
