postal worker arriving to collect the mail could not find the post box, which had been there just the day before.The postal worker arrived at the usual location of the post box, on Victoria St, near the intersection of George St, in Oak Park, about 11.45am last Friday.The post box in its rightful place in Oak Park , and the bare patch of dirt left the following day.The worker had been at the same post box the previous day and it was standing, as usual, in place.
Police said the post box would be “extremely heavy and difficult to remove” and believe either a vehicle or power tools were involved in the bizarre theft.
