Three North Lanarkshire schools could also change their names in the year ahead, with pupils, staff and families to be asked for their ideas following recent relocations and mergers.

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.It takes its name from the area of Uddingston where the school was formerly based before relocating to Motherwell 27 years ago; and the consultation will give the school community a chance to have their say on a new name “to better represent the community it serves”.

Formerly located at Magna Street in Motherwell, additional support needs school Clydeview is now based in the former Daisy Park centre, on the same site as the Cathedral and Firpark primaries joint campus – providing six classrooms, a sensory room, gym hall, outdoor space and shared facilities including soft play and outside playgrounds.

A report for councillors noted that the We Aspire structure “incorporates a number of existing schools, services and facilities within an overarching operation under the leadership of an executive head teacher.
