She definitely turned heads at her first-ever MetGala. 😍
Naomi Osakasoirée in a multicolored, hi-low gown with an avant-garde hairstyle you just can't look away from.slicked down Osaka's hair into an extremely detailed updo. On the very top of her head, her slicked hair transitions into a braided topknot with three looped braids arising from it. Each braid forms a circle on top of her head and has tiny red adornment, carefully spaced out. Some of these adornments are tiny flowers while others are sparkly gems.
While these braids are gorgeous, we are just as amazed with the large chunks of hair that almost resemble the blades of a fan with how sharp they are, sticking straight out of her head. These pieces of hair command your eyesight, especially with all the teeny scarlet red gems stuck to the fanned-out hair. Honestly, we wouldn't be surprised if Harper had to use an entire tub of gel to keep this hair slicked and defying gravity.moment, but the back doesn't disappoint at all. The red decorations are present on the back of the looped braids and gelled chunks of hair.
Red is clearly central to this elaborate hairstyle and Osaka's entire look. The blended out rouge pigment on her eyes and cheeks and bright red on her lips definitely complement the overall avant-garde look. While she was on the red carpet, she told hosts that this look was in honor of both her Haitian and Japanese backgrounds, and we love every inch of it.
For her first Met Gala, Osaka gets a 10/10 for us. She proves that she not only understood assignment, but that she can pass with flying colors, too.
