NASA to help with new NEiSD space magnet school that launches this fall

The new technologies academy is an open-enrollment magnet school that will start with sixth and ninth grades and expand to 6-12.

. It’s just the second such agreement between a school district and the federal agency.

“These experts will bring industry expertise and real-world learning experiences to our campuses,” the district said in a release. in rocket engineering competitions, with students traveling to events for an opportunity to participate in NASA challenge programs.after-school programs and camps, empowering girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through a partnership with NASA and local sponsors.
