NASCAR driver Ryan Preece, whose car rolled a dozen times during a crash at Daytona International Speedway, has been discharged from hospital.

Preece took to Twitter two hours after the race, stating: "If you want to be a race car driver, you better be tough. ... His car then turned hard left, before going into an uncontrollable barrel roll, as it slid from the asphalt to the grass, landing on all four tyres.“NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece will remain overnight at Halifax Health Medical Center for continued observation,” a statement read.
