Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says national cabinet will lift the ban on elective surgery at Tuesday’s meeting.

Mr Clennell said initial modelling identified ANZAC day as a possible surge for the COVID-19, and given the current trends, capacity for ICU beds to be opened up to elective surgery is on the cards. “What will be prioritised coming back will be hip replacements, knee surgery, endoscopies, IVF and maybe some dental,” he said.
