The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation has confirmed it will not change the national terrorism threat level after a suspected terror plot was uncovered in Sydney.

It comes after police found a caravan loaded with enough explosives to create a blast wave of 40 metres in Dural, north-west Sydney. The caravan contained a note with the address of a synagogue. He further emphasised that ASIO had raised the terrorism threat level in August 2024 in anticipation of a rise in politically motivated violence.
