The Nationals are accusing the federal government of ignoring regional jobs as part of its upcoming jobs summit.
Nationals Leader David Littleproud claims the regions are being treated as an afterthought.
“This government has an opportunity to show that their mantra, governing for all Australians, is true,” Mr Littleproud said. “And that they listen to us and listen to regional Australians, but they’re off to a shaky start when they didn’t even bother to invite regional Australia. “We feel like we’re the forgotten Australians, and that’s why the Nationals have made a pragmatic view to turn up and to prosecute our case for regional Australia at the Jobs Summit.”
