Both Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook missed potential game-winning shots that ultimately resulted in the loss, but it turns out, there were some mistakes by the referees along the way.First, Jordan Clarkson was not called for a defensive three-second violation that should have given the Clippers a free throw.
The Clippers' final seconds against the Utah Jazz were an all too familiar one. After the gritty comeback, the team failed to execute anything that remotely looked like a good play for the final possession. It was an all too familiar horrible Kawhi Leonard isolation play that didn't result in a good shot, instead of their usual ball movement. The team wouldn't have even been in that situation if they had grabbed rebounds, but those are the breaks.
